Notice about Logistics for the 2020 PE Conference

Dear Colleagues,

We know you are concerned about what is happening across the country in response to the coronavirus and the news today is that many colleges and universities have extended their spring break by another week or more and are transitioning classes from face-to-face to online platforms for the remainder of the semester. Many academic conferences and gatherings are being cancelled as well.

In considering our plans for the 2020 PE Conference in June, the Academy board members and Conference planning committee are acutely aware of our social responsibility to keep our members save and promote good public health; the best way to do this is through voluntary social distancing. For this reason, conference planners are now working hard to move the PE Conference experience ONLINE.

It is our firm belief that this redesign provides an opportunity for self-growth in terms of the (suddenly) expanding world of teaching and learning online. We will stay in touch with you about the plans, including offering the support needed for both presenters and participants who are new to teaching/learning online.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to adapt the conference experience. We are proud of what we've done together, previously, as Process Educators, and have no doubt that we will rise to this occasion, respond to the social challenges that we face, and continue to inspire and challenge one another.
