In collaboration with The University of Indianapolis staff and faculty development colleagues, the Academy Conference Planning Committee and Board have approved preliminary plans for our 2024 annual Conference. We want to share the current details so you can get the dates on your calendar and make plans to participate!
Our annual Academy Conference will be held at the University of Indianapolis on June 11 -13, 2024. With the potential for an Institute on Tuesday June 10th. The working theme for the Conference is Unlocking Performance and Growth. The committee will use this working theme to unify the Keynote and Plenary sessions. Breakout sessions focusing on these categories will be considered:
- Building Life-Long Skills (inside and outside the classroom)
- Harnessing AI to Enrich Educational Processes
- Guided Pathways to meet the needs of (all) Diverse Learners
- Mentoring for Improved Performance and Personal Development
- Forming and Realizing an Image of One’s Ideal Self
- Applying Metacognition in Growth and Self-Growth
- Using Outcomes-Based Assessment in Program Design
Other Details:
- The conference will be presented in a hybrid format. In-person participation will be encouraged because of the many advantages of sharing time and space together. However virtual options for participating will be available.
- The Call for Proposals will be open on the member website in late November.
- Lodging options near the University will be developed by the Committee and available in late January or February.
