The 2023 Academy Conference Planning Team has updated the design of the event to include a number of Firsts this year. As during the Pandemic years of 2020-21, the 2023 Conference will be 100% virtual to focus on using technology we have all become familiar with during the past several years. This will eliminate costly travel and lodging expenses, wasted time and room for more participants. For the First time the conference will be held over 2 days instead of 3 providing participants more opportunity for summertime activities such as research, travel and fun with family. Yet another First will be that the Conference will held on Friday June 9th and Saturday June 10th to allow for folks who are teaching during the summer weeks to participate.
Early Registration for the Conference is now open. Just select the link to Conference 2023 to get to the registration pages. Early Bird Conference fees (everyone who attends the conference gets free Academy membership until October 2024.) are $125 per person, $100 each for groups of 3 or more, and $60 for current students. Registration fees will rise to $150, $125, and $85 after May 1st.
Conference features include a Keynote speaker, Plenary round table sessions, the annual Academy Business meeting, Breakout sessions and Research papers for presentations related to the theme, the Hall of Innovation (poster sessions), Team time activities, Academy Awards, evening social time, and a Closing Session that will energize all of us as we set our sights on 2024 and beyond.
The Call for Proposals is open on the website. Deadline for submission of Proposals is March 1st. The deadline for Hall of Innovation/Posters will be April 1st. The draft Conference Schedule will be available on the website March 1st or earlier.
Make your plans to participate in this invigorating Conference now. Invite other like-minded faculty, administrators, and students to join us as we work together on “Closing the Gaps” in our institutions, our classrooms, and in fostering the success of our students.
